having a lift is awesome - it really ties the room together

And my 240sx arrived from Toronto this week. Now I can use it, instead of it having gather cobwebs all the time.

It's fresh from a full repaint, and it has 95,000 kms on it.

(ignore the messy garage - it's too cold out there to work - still not insulated and heated - yet)

From the front - bags of room to shove the other car under there. So glad I can fit three cars in!

I still haven't gotten over the novelty of having the car suspended that high up in my garage. It's no big deal at a shop, but for some reason it gives me a double-take every time I go in the garage, lol

Having the hoist was useful - I got right under the car to make sure they rustproofed it. Yep, they did. (I can actually stand under it without ducking at all - and I'm 6'1". I love it!)

Even though it doesn't see winter, I do want to keep it nice.

It's pretty tough to find an S14 in decent shape now.

If we stay in this house a hoist is going in for sure.

In the left side of the last picture, there are three removable powder-coated trays for preventing drips from reaching the car below \:D

Re: having a lift is awesome - it really ties the room together

Well, mine is still a work in progress. It's damn cold out there. I want it warm for storage and also for working on the cars in the winter months.

I'm glad I didn't spring for the shaky cheap lift I looked at initially.

Easy fix if they do!

Honestly, of the three cars that will be in here, I will suspect the British one with rope seals to leak first. Actually, I expect it to leak, even if it's in perfect order.

I think I'll keep it on the bottom.

It's -20 at night. Nada. I'm not touching anything metal that's kept in a deep freeze.

Also, I want the car completely stock when it's appraised and inspected. It will be easier that way.

Re: having a lift is awesome - it really ties the room together

I'm so glad I got this house. It was built 10 years after all the houses around it, so it looks the same, but it's a little larger. The other garages on the street have 10' ceilings.
