Is this a thing now? Is a new one for me that's for sure. Hopefully I don't have to buy a new one. That would suck, this shit is $120 now.

It's a thing, that's why you should slice it up once it's attached so it would have to come off in pieces if someone decides to steal it.

Well it wasn't the Mini cuz that's still a work in process lol. And I actually did clean the surface cuz I scrape off the old one every year. I'm thinking that actually made it easier to steal. When I scrape mine off they always break apart so perhaps it was just a random act of vandalism. This happened at the grocery store Saturday. I was at the crossroads plaza at weston and 401.

Cheap plastic license plate cover should fix that. If you want even more 'security', use a longer bolt, and put 1-2 nuts on the inside ...

Ya I've never had luck with those plastic covers. Always seem to break them somehow. Usually the front ones. I guess I'll invest in one for the rear at least.

I've had my plates stolen at Scarborough Town Center. I think we got 407 bills for that car for like 8 years after we reported it stolen.
Is there a point of really stealing the sticker? Once the cops run the plate, they can see that it hasn't been renewed, no?

How often do you think they’d run your plates though? That’s why they are colour coded - quick visual inspection to see that you are up to date.
Only time they’d run you is if they are following you waiting for you to do something stupid.

Lucky they stole just the sticker.
10-15 years ago, someone stole my friends plate when she had just purchased 2 year sticker.
So I never buy the 2 year sticker.
I tried to take last years sticker and it would break apart. Pre sliced.

you dont need a sticker, its all electronic these days. if they run your plate they will know ur up to date.
