Hey guys;
Sorry for the long response. I was out in Ottawa and ended up purchasing a newbuild south of the city. I lose possession of my place here on May 10th, then will be driving across the country to the new digs.
I’m always up for drinks and Muskie fishing.

I’m completely blown away by insurance prices in Ontario. 2 vehicles AND my house for $3500/yr.
Here in bc, my truck alone is $3400/yr  sounds like I have an excuse to buy some toys!

Lots of traffic. I live south of town halfway to Greely, and the traffic during rush hours is ridiculous. The construction doesn’t help either.
I’m getting a good lay of the land now, learning the main arteries and such. The wife’s parents live in Barrhaven and her brother lives in Kanata, so I’ve got the west side down pretty well.

Moof, any comments on your home purchase and shopping experience? Some friends of mine are starting to look for their first home in the same area. They're both born and raised Ottawa locals.
Did you come across and bad builders or sales offices?
Quality of construction even across the board?
