Shawarma in the GTA

Ever since doner kebab house was shut down for condos I haven't been able to find a good shawarma place. I prefer turkish style, but realistically open to anything at this point.

Markham doesn't have a single place worth going to, all subpar garbage backed up by fake reviews. Still amazed how a place like Shawarma Stop in Markham has a 4.5 score and 776 reviews Place is a joke, food is like 3/10, but ok

The only decent food I came across was Shirin Kebab house at Eglinton/Pharmacy.

Willing to go pretty far if it's good, what you got?

I find Suresh Doss is pretty spot on with a lot of his suggestions.

Re: Shawarma in the GTA

Osmow's is solidly average, it's what you find in most Shawarma places that buy from the exact same suppliers.

^agreed.

i find the best to be in ottawa actually, buuuut a lil bit far to go for that lol.

ORLY is my local go to place (richmond hill), they just sold to another mom n pop so we'll see how it is. ORLY do have a scarb location as well i think. otherwise i would suggest Empire in scarb as a go-to.

i would think north york would have some good options, but don't know any off hand.

Take a detour next time you visit kingsville/leamington.
Can't speak for their plates and other food since it looks like its already prepared food, but their sandwiches are out of this world. Everything is so fresh and there is always a line up at lunch, which says a lot considering downtown windsor is a shit hole. It's been around for at least 25 years in a city where nothing ever lasts in the downtown core. Enjoi

Re: Shawarma in the GTA

Osmows in Streetsville was the best.
We used to drive there for 40 min to just get a good Shawarma.
Either these new locations don't serve the same thing or the new owner took it over... I haven't been to the Streetsville locations in years.
