Company work Holiday Gifts?

When we were in the office, we'd get candy and a free Swiss Charlet lunch and probably an holiday party along with a team lunch (probably $100 per head easy with drinks).

My wife got $300 Uber Eats and $500 taxable bonus.

Brother got $1000.

Client got a Lululemon jacket (assume w company logo)

My work has been crickets....what about you grunts?

Re: Company work Holiday Gifts?

Usually not much, maybe some cash in an xmas card
this years been a roller coaster that a company gift hasn't even popped into my head
I'm just lucky were still busy and the fact that due to covid issues I've had to adjust work schedule or work from home when my job doesn't really fit that description without much hassle from the office is enough for me.

How about the other way, for those that have direct reports do you do anything for them or buy them anything?

For myself, I want to pick up maybe a new 34" LCD monitor, and a replica Eames lounge chair

When I had them, I used to. I hate doing it, but it matters to them (people hah).

Re: Company work Holiday Gifts?

In year's past, I'd give my direct reports and boss a gift card for Timmies or Starbucks. They'd do the same for me. We'd also do a company-paid team lunch.

This year, no one bought each other anything. The company gave everyone a $25 door dash credit.

Re: Company work Holiday Gifts?

Company gave ZERO. Team organized a lunch. We kinda all wrote off about $40 each. We sent our immediate bosses Xmas gifts $20 x 4 peps. Got their home addresses and sent it.

Other companies in my industry....

$50 gift card and bluetooth speaker
an Art kit and instructor online to all paint.

My company is pretty weaksauce considering well all busted our asses, worked extra hours from being at home.
