Swap for a 99-00 EX for around $1500?

Well its about time to replace my aging old escort and I'v decided on a 99-00 EX coupe (dispite my username) The price of a turbo/SC are still pretty damn pricey and the output on a SOHC just isn't worth the price.

About the cheapest swap your going to find for that car will still be over $1,500 for a DOHC.

If you arent concerned about trying to go super fast, a B20 swap will probably be your best option and it will be comparable (performance wise) to a B16 swap. You'll like the extra torque of the 2.0l and it leaves you a TON of options for upgrades.

Right now B20 motors are about $700. But you still need mounts, tranny, ecu, shift linkage, and axles.

Ok was doing a little catching up. What kind of power can i get out of an 99 Integra GS motor with the bolt ons? And how much?

I'm really looking for something that will damn near bolt right up. I'm not looking for super power but i'd like to have more than the bolt-ons on the stock sohc can turn out.

Why not ?...
I thought you could swap a newer motor (including all emission devices) into and older chassis if the emissions matched the motor specs...

I picked up my B18b (ls teggy motor) with a GSR tranny, clutch, flywheel and pressure plate for 1300 installed. I had to buy the mounts, jumper harness and a few other things. All said and done it ended up being 1700-1800. Just gotta look and ask around.
