Off supplements and hitting PRs. 315

Started last night's chest workout with decline bench and I felt pretty strong and decided to keep upping weight.

135X20
135X20
225X10
275X2---------------------PR
315X1---------------------PR

I haven't benched heavy in forever. I ate a grilled chicken sandwich and drank a diet dr pepper about 45 minutes before working out, no other supps besides a multi and D3 yesterday.

Awesome man! 315 feels heavy as shit on my back for squat. Can't even fathom pushing it off my chest.

You dont think doing those sets of 20 reps before hand is tiring you out? Might have more in ya with fewer reps before hand

The 135 is so light, I use it as a real big stretch and jsut to get a ton of blood in the area. I can get 30+ at that weight, 20 is just warming up all the joints. I also didn't start the workout with the intention of lifting heavy. I decided to kick it off with decline since I normally start with incline and I wanted to switch it up. I felt real strong on my warmup sets and pressed 225X10 like it was my job, I had more in me but made the decision to max out when I got to 7-8 easily with 225.

To elaborate further on my thoughts regarding heavy lifting, if I went in with that goal I would probably do 135X4 135X4 225X2 275X1 315X1 325X? etc

I knew you could bench heavier (if you chose to). What's your form like?

I am pretty narrow gripped and use a lot of triceps :)Touch chest and explode up. I was surprised how comfortably I moved the weight.

Thanks brostrodamus. I've been hovering around 240-245 for a while now, eating less than great but looking as good as I can remember. I am in 36 waist pants, down from 42-44s last christmas. I have basically poaused my weight loss until our baby comes. It's just too much of a strain on the relationship for me to be going buckwild with diet and stuff while the wife is 8 months pregnant. When the baby comes we'll both hit the kitchen and the gym real hard. I am just working out hard right now and not doing enough cardio. \:\) Happy to maintain this weight/look for another month or too.
