It does, but I'd find a manual one if you had a chance. I think 01 and up, they were upgraded from T45 to Tremec 3650, which is actually a very capable transmission. Although, maybe having an auto Mustang will keep you from wanting to modify it.

Although, maybe having an auto Mustang will keep you from wanting to modify it. That, plus a curb weight of almost 3300 lbs. A manual transmission would've been the only redeeming quality. As far as I'm concerned, might as well look for an auto v6 'vert. At least it has the top down factor come summertime. Good God it hurt to type that.

I love the New Edge, but the manual in my 99 GT was most of the fun. I can't imagine it would have been much fun with the auto. Slow cars compared to todays standards (and hell, even it's own era) but I loved mine.
Id personally spend the $6400 on the 351 for your Maverick

Yeah, it's my daily driver. But it's practical and versatile (awd, 4 doors, good headroom, seats 5 semi-comfortably).
I would go with the stick shift neon (4 doors, great mpg, low maintenance, easier to drive in winter).

you're comparing a 10 year old autotragic mustang to an acura rdx. apples to oranges.
if you want a daily driver, mustang can do it, but if it's a daily driver, wouldn't you rather be able to comfortably fit someone in the back? or have 4 doors?
If you have 6500 to spend and want something more fun, the answer is always miata

Dude, you seem like you're buying just for the sake of buying. Keep your fucking neon that owes you nothing and drive it ALL.THE.WAY into the fucking ground.
