DO i need this?
I guess this is the seat between the current bucket carrier and then sitting on their own/booster?
Looks super bulky wtf
How does it work rear facing? The kid would have no place for their legs?

The kid will have enough room for legs till about f 15 months or so. My 2nd one is 98% height and I had to turn her around facing forward already. Her legs are all bent and shit since not enough roomm

I know i've asked this before, but i am not the sharpest tool in the shed...
Why is your kid in that diono and not in the bucket seat at 15? I was told they stay in the bucket until 2 years old. She outgrew it already ?

$350 is still pretty expensive, going to have to buy used.

The Diono seats are pretty narrow compared to most other seats. People often use them to get 3 kids in the back seat instead of buying a 3 row SUV or van. We've had one for years. It's a really solid seat.
Depending on size, kids will typically outgrow the infant carrier by 8-14 months. When your kid's head is within an inch or two of the top of the carrier, it's time to switch to a rear facing seat like the Diono. I kept both kids rear facing until they were about 3. Their legs are a little bent, but it's safer for them, so I don't really care. They never complained though.

I moved my older one out of the Diono when he was around 6. Can prob get away with keeping a girl in one for even longer.

I bought 5 of these in total over the years. Girls always loved them and Walmart sale sometimes can't be beat. Regular is 199, I bought it twice for 89$, twice for 120$, and once 99$.

OPs car seat is awesome, but I don't need to save the space since I only have 2 kids. Still have enough space for them between the seats in the CRV

So glad we are phasing out the car seat. Waiting for the boy to get taller and heavy so I can just toss in the booster.

+1 - its a really solid seat.
I have two right now for my eldest kid (one per car, Rainier), and will be buying another two for the youngest kid when its time (she's still in the bucket). They're heavy and somewhat of a pain to setup (I'm OCD about it fitting just right), but probably the best and safest seat.
What's awesome is that they come in different colours, so you can match your interior

I have 3 (had 4) and I only have 1 toddler.
1 for main car (Clek) 1 for backup car (was Clek but downsized to a Britax) 1 for air travel (sold the Diono b/c its pos compared to Clek). 1 for inlaw (Clek)
Off the bat, you can tell the Clek is better constructed, the Diono has it's rear exposed, doesn't have an integrated wedge base, doesn't have an anti-rebound bar, requires an angle adjuster (even a big ass LX570 required this stupid foam accessory). Also, it has subpar crash test ratings (it's still safe, but Britax and Clek are safeR). Its a car seat that will last 5 years, for $50-100 more, the Clek is definitely highly recommended.

You can get a barebones Clek for $400 on sale at Canadian Tire.
With Diono barebones (entry level car seats), it means less protection.
WIth Clek barebones, it means a shittier fabric that doesn't repel liquids, but you get the same safety features as the higher-end model.
With that said, Cleks is a larger car seat (like the Diono) so make sure you test-fit. If you need a more compact car seat, I'd recommend the Britax... it takes less room that it fits behind the driver's seat of my C class.

2 reasons. If your kid is in the higher percentile for height, they'll outgrow the seat (head within one inch from the top of the seat). Two, ain't nobody carrying a 25lbs + baby plus the carrier around. It awkward, banging off your knee/thigh and shit.
We moved both kids at a year into the convertible seat RF.
The next stage for you is this seat or any other convertible seat, they'll be in in for roughly 6 years. It's recommended & a law in some states to have them RF until they turn 2.

Definitely prefer the Clek Foonf over the Diono. Were at 5 seats total if you included the grandparents who watch the kids daily.

I bought the bare bones clek on sale for $299 at snuggle bugs. I would not want to test the safety features in any of the car seats, but I do really like the Clek. My daughter is 5, but she is almost too tall for the Clek. My little guy is almost 20 months and we turned him around.
