BroKe BroKe Post Master Sr Registered: 09/15/01 Posts: 3833 Loc: Markham, Ontario	I bought a china backpack off Amazon. Sold by Amazon. Received it. Took it out of the packaging and found a Canadian passport in one of the pockets. Belongs to some Chinese guy that lives in the annex. What should I do with it?

Chances are he owned the backpack, used it and returned it and forgot to take his passport out. It could also be a fake stolen passport. I'd make a small amount of effort (online/social media) to see if I could locate the owner on my own. He may not even know he lost it or again it could be a fake. Turning it into the police won't amount to anything. They're not going to spend the effort to return it to him. Giving it back to the passport issuing office probably wont amount to anything either. They'll probably destroy it as its not worth their time, unless its determined to be a fake.
