Used to do that drive every month, honestly as much as the Detroit autoshow is epic, risking your life on the 402 especially (or the 401 even) is big nope. I've never been more convinced that I skipped death between London and Sarnia there, if you get a white out on that stretch you are pretty much leaving your life in the hands of a few truck drivers who can't see an inch past their windshield.

Yea I've done it a few times with some buddies, but several years back. Not worth is anymore unless the conditions are favorable.

Is it unusual for the city of Toronto to deploy graders as snow removal vehicle?

I didn't really think too much about it but my buddy thought they don't usually use the grader for snow removal in TO. It cleaned his street this morning.

Graders are used all the time. Especially where plows have no places to put the snow.

Fucking Rogers internet and cable is fucked during this freeze. Shit is going up and down, channels are all pixelated and no audio. Thankfully electricity and gas still working ...

This -39 wind chill is no joke. Wtf.

but we lost hot water for 3.5 days last week.
They advertise Same day service/peace of mind...
Called friday morning, someone came Saturday evening, confirm we need a new heater, orders it, don't hear anything sunday, call to find out they come in 6 days. Argue, a Monday appointment appears, hot water Monday evening.

It was a bad idea - basically froze as it went on lol

I think I froze my wheel sensors or froze my wheels so much I lost a ton of the air pressure. Tried pumping up the tires in my work underground parking with a mini compressor - didn’t work haha
