What's the deal with the liability insurance. Usually rental companies offer their insurance when you rent a vehicle. But all rental cars in Ontario are already insured. What's the benefit of purchasing the extra liability for $15-30 a day if it's already insured?

as a side note.. for our dealership, if you take out a loaner, and happen to damage something, its a $5000 deductable. I know we have it based off some basic rental agreement.

whenever i take out loaners i always just pay the $15 for the extra insurance. i've seen that episode of fresh prince where they are stuck on the side of the cliff.
I always get it too. I rented a car to to go a raptors game years ago, and I got rear ended on the way out of the parking lot (by the guy honking at me). I didn't care, I just had to drop the car off in the morning, that was the end of it.
