I've recently (for 3 weeks) changed my diet. I haven't had a soda in 3 weeks, and for the most part have cut out beer until the weekends. Lately I've been drinking 1 glass of wine a night after "working out" (walks, light workout in hotel weight gym).
I've pretty much cut out fast food, at nights eating salad and a sandwich or some sort of low sodium/calorie meal in the room.
I will just say it, I definitely notice a change in, well, pooping. I just went 2 days without going, whereas with my normal diet (shit), on a good day with some beer, 2 or 3 times was a personal best.
Maybe this is too much information. As I near 40, I think you lose humility and well, hopefully I'm turning a stone here on becoming more healthy.
I think it's obvious that my recent change has affected my cycle, but man, do I really need to start taking old people pills and fiber to get back to a once a day easy poop?
James!
Cliff: Recently changed diet, having hard time pooping, never ever did before.

Make those sandwiches with Fiber One bread or another high fiber (5-6g per slice) bread. You'll poop like clockwork.
Also, eat a good portion of green vegetables with dinner. Eat an apple with lunch.
Drink enough water to make the fiber do what it's supposed to.

whole grain breads, I do a 40/cal slice natures own, but whatever you enjoy with fiber.
brocolli has a ton of fiber as well.
salad should be on the right track, depending what lettuce you are using. iceberg tastes good, but not much in it.
start tracking fiber content in your food, see where you stand.
if nothing else, no shame in a fiber supplement, no shame in it anyway... fiber is so damn good for you and is so hard to get enough of, even if for more than poops.
