 As did all of them.

We are all getting covid (if we haven't already). There is no hiding, accept and move on.

https://toronto.ctvnews.ca/mobile/ontario-health-official-casts-doubt-on-whether-vaccination-requirements-will-ever-be-extended-to-children-aged-5-to-11-1.5681660

Here's my take on it... if not them, then why us?
If it's mandated on us, then now that kids are accepted into the age range, it should be required for anyone who is eligible.

 I can't stand the inconsistencies.

Last week we took our youngest to a bday party at a trampoline park.
"Masks must be warn at all times in the park... unless actively using the trampolines."

So, if you're chilling walking or sitting, you need your mask... but if you're jumping around, breathing hard, next to each other... no need. And also, the ones in that environment are 95% children, who are mostly unvaccinated.

 #Logic.

Well, the stock markets sure thought it serious ... Everything got fucked on Friday.
'Breakthrough Covid' was a serious thing just .. awhile back, i.e. getting Covid after being vaccinated. Now it's a regular scenario...

The most well-known one I'm aware of is Bryan Adams getting Covid twice AFTER being double-vaxxed...

What is your point? I don't think I follow.

If you don't have allergies/pre existing conditions get vaccinated (the age cut off should really be 40+ here), but whatever I am not going to split hairs, the data is out on covid impact on those under 40 in good health.

If you have issues or pre existing conditions where the vax may put you at risk for side effects or blood clots, roll the dice either way on vax or no vax. Should be discretionary.

Everything else is out of our control, variants, mutations, etc. Vaccinated and in good health, you've done your part, move on, we can't keep living like a bunch of handicapped idiots, it has been 2 years of this shit.

i'm not rushing to line up either but it would be nice to get one sooner than later.i don't understand the constant need for some people to make claims and shout their beliefs. tired of hearing shit like everyone's gonna get it eventually, its not that bad. blah blah blah. if you've gotten your shots, wear masks and social distance then that's all you can do. just keep it moving. anti lockdown people mixing in the the anti vax people at this point. all forms of entitlement. get real.

Looks like this variant is nowhere near as serious as the past according to this doc and what he is seeing from Humber Valley hospital. Coincides with what a lot of other docs are saying in the states as well, this is basically a cold:

Well fuck, hope you're feeling better quick dude, and your whole fam isn't infected.
Technically we're under self-quarantine(?) - wife was in 'outside contact' with a confirmed case.

Yesterday was a whirlwind ... with 3 'clusters' that while not direct contact, could've/would've...

 a) - FurBalletta goes out with Furballetta Jr in stroller for a 'girls stroller walk/chat' with 2 others (and their respective baby daughters)
 - 1 contact's partner CONFIRMED positive next morning via rapid test, 8 mth old daughter on/off fevers, contact herself had negative rapid test.
 - PCR test taken 2hrs after rapid test confirmed positive (mother, father, 8-mth old daughter.) Mother's triple-vaxxed (since Nov), father double. Kid still feverish.

 - FurBalletta + FurBalletta Jr got PCR test yesterday, awaiting results... (Got denied in Hamilton in a 'healthcare workers-only' PCR walk-in, cuz apparently a) HAMILTON HCW's only, and b) walk-in full)

 b) FurBalletta reeeeeeeally wanted to go visit some friends who drove up from US.... Well, thankfully it didn't work out, cuz that whole fam is confirmed positive via rapid test (except 1.) I asked if their dog is positive (no joke .... I didn't get an answer.) Apparently, they are ok to 'drive back into the US' because .... they have a 'quarantine plan'?
Apparently they might also be considered essential workers as ... the couple both have scheduled/on-calls for baby deliveries (dual OBGYNs)
 c) The 'hookup' the wife has re: PCR tests with 24-hr turnaround got 'put on hold' due to physician getting a 'sore throat' ... so based on current guidelines, she's considered 'positive' until her own PCR test comes back. (The physician was the one that did the PCR tests for a)...)

Update:I'm not even isolating from my kids. It is what it is.

If it's aerosol, there's no amount of distance that will keep everyone from getting it.

Got my booster yesterday, arm is a tad sore but that was it.
Wife is still working at a small community in Manitoba where literally every single person has covid. But initial shots and booster are all she does most days.

Shes home for two weeks now and worked a few shifts at her hospital. ICU is almost full, but only 2 covid, rest are elderly Influenza and other trauma types. ER is a shit show with everyone wanting to get tested and other non-emergency visits filling the place up and slowing it down. Wait times can be 4-10 hours.

355-Si... Off load delay for EMS at my wifes ER is 7-8 buses who wait for 3-5 hours.

Spent the last few days at Sunnybrook Critical Care/ICU (visiting), it's pretty busy. ER was slowish when I was there.
