I propose a thread with member's name, Flickr ID, favorite photographer, and a list of gear.
I think we might all pretty much know this about each other but it might help tailor advice and aid in networking.

Favorite Photographers: Meisel, Avedon, Nick Knight, Eugenio Recuenco, Wing Shya. In no particular order; but I find myself pay a lot more attention from works by these guys over anyone else in the fashion field. Outside of Avedon, one can probably guess my preference for aesthetics in fashion photos judging from that list.

He was a great portrait photographer unfairly demonized by conservatives and the media. People started doing fine art figure studies of women as soon as the first film was fast enough, but doing studies of the male form was cause for outrage.
 cheers,
 scott
the majority of folks out there think of him only as a nude figure study photographer, but his flower works are the ones that I like the most: http://www.mapplethorpe.org/portfolios/flowers/

O HAI Mike Pea!Now you know how to greet people in Lolspeak!

That's the greeting I sometimes see at the top of my Flickr page. Yes, that's right, my name is actually Mike.

ehhh, I'm not so much a gear guy, but I do like stuff that works well. I do have a 5D Mark II from Canon with 3 lenses and a flash.
I also have a tripod, a monopod, some polarizers, vari-ND filters and shit. I don't use a Mac. I use a windows box, with Lightroom 2, and am starting to dabble in the CS4, but not really yet. |

I don't really use it much anymore, used to use it a lot for shooting folded shirt lay down shots lol. It's actually pretty useful for shooting garments...
