scootergeek scootergeek Post Master Supreme Registered: 07/24/00 Posts: 46248 Loc: East of St. Louis	This is where the graduated ND filter in the latest version of Camera Raw comes into its own - you could easily (and evenly) darken that in ACR 6.0 with just a few clicks. If you guys haven't bought it yet, at least try the free 30 day download of CS5. One way to do it without ACR is to select the trees and foreground (either through a mask or just a wand) and then make your brush for the burn tool big enough to cover the entire selection, so that you can burn it evenly. Set the tool at say 20% and use it several times until you get where you want to be. You might have to then use it with a small brush along the edges of your crop to clean them up, but it's easier than using a small brush all the way through and trying to keep everything even. At any rate, the key to burning and dodging (IMO) is to do it as a series of light (low percentage) changes rather than big ones. If I had actually taken my time to set this shot up, I would've opened up a little more. This literally was a snapshot...was able to set the camera on a fencepost to stabilize.

BobBarker BobBarker Unregistered	thanks man...I was actually a little depressed about shooting the other day, since the camera just collects dust a lot of days, mainly because I'm busy working a lot lately. But I was happy to go out with it yesterday.
