This morning I rode an hour on the trainer. Now I just got back from running to the pool, doing my swim workout, then running home. 3.1 miles: 21:48 1500 yards: 24:30 2.5 miles: 19:40 That first 5k is a PR for me. That's a 7:02 average pace, but the breakdown was this: Mile 1: 7:14 Mile 2: 6:58 Mile 3: 6:57 .1: 6:45 Pretty stoked.
you might have mentioned it before in this thread, but what do you use to track your runs?

Got a mile race coming up today. Four man relay, each run a mile. Me, my wife and two guy friends. Not sure how fast I'll be able to go... Had a soccer game last night, about to play one this morning and then have the race 4 hours later.
If I get a 7 minute mile, I will be ecstatic lol slow

Nice totals man!

[Edit: Wait. i just realized 18,900 yards is like TEN MILES and change. nearly 11. DAMN!]
new 5k record for me today. Kinda cool, kinda makes me angry. I wanted sub-30s, BAD.
31:09. Spent a 10th of a mile running and puking up coffee. No fuckin' bueno. Woulda been high 30:00s if not for that. Of course it happened right around the 3 mile mark, where the people who'd already finished could look disgusted as i made a spectacle of myself.
So yeah, good time, bad experience.

Official results are official.
  Sumbitch. Still not a 29.xx, but not a 31 either. I'll take it. 05/01/11 818 Matthew Laverty 30:56

how ya feeling today? 20 mile runs, 70 mile bike rides, you are doing it big man. Honestly, not too bad. A little tired, and my feet are a tad sore, but way less than I was expecting it be. That will be my longest run prior to the Ironman. Next week will be a 15, and the following a 13, then it's a 3 week taper...so just short easy runs. I'm feeling ready.
you're more than ready! All you gotta do is stay healthy during the taper - wash your hands a lot and keep away from germ infested kids!
