I donno why, I always assumed crystal light was 0 cals... looked earlier, and I see it is 5calories per serving... and apparently a 16ounce packet is 2 servings...

leangains indicated that gum under 5cals would be ok. Im guessing 10calories in evening or morning outside of meal hours would be bad then?

not a huge deal to drink water, but Im still curious.

It doesn't matter. Keep drinking it if you want.

I used to drink 2 liters of the stuff during my fast.

I dont claim to know the biology behind it, but I can see the rationale that too many calories would hit the reset switch.

not like its a big deal to me, all it really has done is stop me from eating a granola bar in the morning, and I dont snack after dinner(which I wouldnt do anyway on any diet...)

down 5% BF in a month, so it seems to be working, but just wanted to clarify, Ill keep drinkin it up :p

you call me a douchebag but, many people on this forum have simply sought help and received it. I even helped you in years past. I'm a bit abrasive but, that's because even with many knowledgeable people, who even got a full forum created for fitness, we still have people that would rather debate fitness than practice it. You're not even in bad shape and I'm in no way saying intermittent fasting doesn't work but, it works for people who already have the discipline and knowledge required to gain results.

You can fuck around with this program or that program, and do it casually and get no results. Or you can follow the basic fundamentals and build from there.

You have to see certain fitness threads and posts from my perspective to understand my frustration

I donno, I posted a simple question and got pure unhelpful sarcasm from you and no one else.

Im doing what I can and I may not be perfect, just trying not to break the rules that I may not know Im breaking, nothing more, nothing less.

That's because I know how this will end.

Nobody wants to listen, which is fine but, when the question is constantly posed to people who give the right advice, which never gets followed, you get jaded.

If you can go without the crystal light I would highly recommend it, those large tubes of the shit can make something 20-80 cals depending on what you get and are filled with sucralose, corn fructose sugars, etc. The decent ones are the natural flavored ones which are lemonade and pink lemonade. Anything else has the above mentioned in it and have that bullshit ass nutrition facts thing written in some kind of way that it seems harmless but ends up being 16 servings of 5 cals or some bullshit.

Arizona pomegranate green tea mix is sugar free and calorie free and pretty tasty.

their ginseng green tea mix has some cals in it and caffine, you may want to be weary about that as well.

I crutched myself into the 2 gallon a day drinking habit with crystal light and fizzled it out month two of my dieting challenge and now it's kind of hard to drink crystal light again I actually prefer cold water.

Another stupid trick you can do is buy two gallon containers of water, do your crystal light thug thizzle and throw it in your freezer (cap off). and then rotate bottles making sure it's always ICE COLD when you drink it. Your body has to heat it up, it requires energy and is a free 300 calories a month that you burn drinking your water.

food for thought.

relax Hulk... at some point you have to throw in the towel, and let people learn on their own... there's a learning curve and it just takes longer for some... no need to get your blood pressure up over it bro...

just sayin'... i used to be that dick, still am on occassion, but i try and keep my attacks on people amibiguous now... ;\)

Some pretty ridiculous responses. All he wants to do is limit his intake into an 8 hour window. Is only eating from 12-8 really that odd? He isn't changing his macronutrient splits or caloric totals from what would be recommended to someone on a cut. I don't really understand the basis for being frustrated or "throwing in the towel".

In response to Ares (and as Silock has already mentioned), Crystal Light is fine.

i never said he would... yet a shit result is still a "result"...

i thought the whole steroid thing was a stupid choice for him way back when... but i've never been one for that shit... frankly to me if you do that and aren't a "professional" i just don't see the point...

Oh no I know you've been here for some time... I just look back at that original fitness thread and my posts just come off as assholish and you're basically on that same level with your constant put downs of people that don't do what you tell them to do...

So are you an LEO now...? I assume this isn't the tact you use on a daily basis...
