From an engagement shoot I did recently.

Canon 50mm f1.4, Variable ND filter, White Lightning strobe w/beauty dish and a diffuser to camera right with a vagabond lithium powerpack.

Not a good picture. But this little guy was very far away. It was basically shot at 357mm. I had a Sony 1.7x tele-extender on the 55-210 lens. I just like it because of the detail in the hands/front claws.

I have other crops without it. The place they parked the engine was weird, on a slope and not good for lighting. I could have either shot down on them at a weird angle or at them with a bunch of obstructons (those light posts). This was the "best" angle I had with the short amount of time I had with them. They wanted the name of the school in the picture, but that should work.

Shot a 1-year old birthday party on Saturday. It was a train-themed party that was held at the historic B&O rail station in Silver Spring, Md. I got the mom and dad to take their kid on the train track for a couple of portraits. I should have gotten lower and shot from further back to get the track and more of the background. Anyway, processed (maybe a little too much) in PS, still a little fringing even though I didn't bump up clarity or recovery. Maybe it's just my lens... anyway...
