Fuck it, i'm staying away from distributel, they don't even know what they are selling. I went from having 28mbit availability, down to 12mbit because he didn't realize I was on cogeco instead of rogers, a call back a little later and they tell me the highest package for those on the cogeco network is 10. They're fried.

I have zero issue with teksavvy. I got my bill today, I pay 45 bucks for 18mb d/l and 1mb upload and nowhere near close to the 300 cap.

assuming you are in the same area as I am in, you will not be disappointed.

for $49.95, I get 75mb down and 2 mb up with Rogers . Great speed for pulling stuff from my US based seed box.

^^ 250 GB. No MLPPP, a seedbox is a server in the US that you use for torrents, so you don't use your residential connection for torrents, because Bell and Rogers both throttle the crap out of torrents.

Then you just download your torrents from the seedbox.

I know what a seedbox is, i'm asking about your 75Mbit down and 2Mbit up connection with rogers.

Nevermind, I just went to their page, they offer an ultimate package with those speeds. I thought the fastest was ~30 that's why I was asking.

And lol at having that kind of speed and only 250GB cap. And then having to pay for a decent seedbox on top of it all.

^^ You aren't torrenting using it, so 250 GB is fine Are you really moving 250 GB of stuff a month?

Call again. That is a craptastic deal dude! Should be able to get 30% without even pushing for it.

Forget the cap. I'm just trying to say that it's stupid that you need a seedbox with that kind of connection. Whether you have it because you don't want to blow the 250GB or you have it because they are throttling you, it's still shitty.

Main reason for getting it is so wife/me can both work from home. We can both expense our internet, so its a no brainer.

I called back retention to give my 30 days notice, they offered me 30% discount to match Teksavvy's monthly plan. So I am signed up for 1 year

$44.xx/month taxes in (including modem rental)

Hatorade is gonna say my deal is shit, I have no luck with Rogers to get 50% discount like some of you on here \:\(

you shouldn't have taken their first offer.. and gone through.. they often call back a few days later and offer something even better.

There are hundreds of seedbox providers and they all have different packages depending on speeds, how many people share a server and how much storage space you get. It can range anywhere from $10 a month to over $100 and anywhere in between, just depends on what kind of speeds you want and how much remote storage.

I used seedmonster in the past. I think it was $30/month for a 1Gbps connection shared among 6-8 people (probably way more in reality), and 300GB storage.

HOLY FUCK. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM ACANAC!!! PAY THE PREMIUM AND GO WITH TEKSAVVY.

I subscribed for MLPPP (which is $172/month for 4 dry loops) 10 business days ago and the fuckers have not even shipped me the modems.
