Not the best quality + shallow DOF... but it was really dark outside. I've never seen a frog out here, much less at midnight sitting at the front door.

My submission for the day. I spent an hour tonight while house sitting trying to wear out these dogs with the ball. It didn't work! I am not at home, so I had to adjust and crop it in the OEM Flickr photo editor. I can't wait for the Spring and summer again. There just isn't much to photograph here at this time of the year. Everything is dead, gray and yucky.

A little more clairty/sharpening/contrast/something on the post and gear would really make it stand out. Cool pic!

How are you processing your photos? They have a slight "HDR program" hue to them. They lack some contrast and some colors are a little overprocessed.

You must be using some sort of HDR program as there are a lot of harsh edges where shadows meet the highlights. Just a quick edit, though it is hard to edit on something that has already been edited.

I adjusted the shadows/highlights and the mid tone contrast...and some curve adjustments. Ive only played with the basic stuff, I havent tried the curve stuff yet. Does that help you be more specific in the areas you are touching up?
shadows & highlights is where i usually start in order to get a baseline for simple edits then use the contrast to bring it back. Curves, for the most part, help me even it out depending on what i'm editing.

I've tried to rescue pics before, I'm sure this turned out better then any of the ones I've attempted, lol throw in the towel.

Another cover of mine that is on sale now, did this as a favor to my friends over at IT.
I shot the group of cars as well as the girl, but we shot the girl in a studio a few months after the fact. The placement of the cars was not up to me, and I don't really like it because you can't really see much of any of the cars. I didn't do the actual composite work of putting her into the scene either, but I put together the background image and cleaned up the girl. I kinda wish their art director had darkened her hair a bit more like I had asked, but hey. Such is life. It's another tear sheet so I'm happy.
