So its monday, you forget your lunch at home or were too lazy to cook (or worse do grocery shopping at all) and now you need to eat the cheapest way possible....what do you get?
For me, the closest/cheapest/most filling option is Burrito Boyz. $6.24 w/tax for a small bean and cheese burrito. Have them stuff it with basically everything. Drink water from the watercooler and bobs your uncle. I order from the app in advance, and walk over 5mins to pick it up. I like ordering from the app cuz then nobody in my office can hear me order and its always ready when I arrive, almost zero waiting.
This may be a single man's question as most of you are all spoiled now cuz your wives make your lunch

Slice of pizza from Pizzaiolo does the trick for under $5.

schwarma place called Taza Express, you can get a chicken on the rocks (schwarma chicken on rice) for $7, and they're 2 for $10 on Fridays. you get a lot.
I love Schwarma.
Cheapest is those chinese butcher shops, two meat and rice in a box for $6.50. Jam packed.

But are these options filling? I don't think I'd be satisfied w/ 10 BK nuggets for two reasons. One cuz they are shit and two because they are so small. I guess for $4 one could get 20 nuggets. Still tastes like shit tho lol. My burrito was excellent today and supremely filling.
Sadly there's no shawarma place around my work. I went to a Chinese food place and got a 2 choice meal once. It came to $14! I was like whoa.... Never went back. Food was good but way to pricey for lunch. I could get 2 days worth of burritos for that price and have some change for a timmies coffee!

This is by far the cheapest option. But I need 3 to be full (+ drinking water from the office to let the bun expand to give that false sensation of fullness).
2nd option I rely on is getting chili chicken on rice from Wah Too - they just jacked up the price by $1 so I think it's $8 taxes in with steamed rice (+$1 if you are a baller and spring for the fried rice).

Nothing cheap where I am around York and Bremner. Subway is cheap but not great....that's emergency food. Panago Pizza is the cheapest at about $8 for a personal size pizza.
Grabb Ap (before they were bought) by Foodora had a Hero Burger combo for $7.19 before tax.

It's probably the fat content that fills you up.
Be healthier and eat grilled chicken wrap with no dressing

Love the FMP foodcourt. The Thai and Korean places are solid and around $10/meal. The chicken Katsu at the Jap place is $7.50.
Not bad. I pay $7 at First Markham Place.

Work canteen. Used to be $2 breakfast / $4 lunch, but with the move to the new HQ, they've up'd the quality of the ingredients, bumping prices up to $4/$6.
Work also provides pop, fresh-ground coffee, carbonated filtered water, and a slew of fucking sweets/snacks most of the time. Supposedly it's extremely common to gain 10 lbs in your first year here

Another cheap eat to fill yourself is the $4 chilli from Wendy's, been half a decade, but I remember that was my go to when I was trying to save and had to eat out.

Beef patties are a good cheap fill. There's a Jamaican place close by that i've gotten beef patties from. But the smell is so good in there I can never just get the patties. Always end up with jerk chicken too. Wendy's chilli is good as well, but I find that I'm CRAZY thirsty after eating it. Its probs got 3000mg of sodium in it at least. Sadly (well maybe its a good thing) but there's no street meat by my work at all.
That pig picture is totally gross!
