It seems like that there's a little bit of a play when my hood is closed closed shut (CF hood). I want to make the Latch sit a little lower so the hood shuts tight.

Can it be moved down? I thought I'd read a post a couple of years ago that said that it's possible, but I'm not too sure.

Remove the bumper, and loose all three screws that hold the hood latch. Lower it as much as possible and tighten it.

If there is play with it, grab some electrical tape and wrap it around the loop on the hood. You'll need a few layers but once you get it in, you'll notice that it's pretty tight.

Thanks. The tape idea sounds pretty good. I'll give that a shot instead of doing it the other way lol lazy.

Ill try the tape idea but I dunno...I dont see how make the hood latch larger would help lower it...if anything it would make it sit higher.

well, think about it.

If you make the metal loop on your HOOD thicker, it will fit more snug with the latch thus eliminating any 'play'.

You might have to use lots of tape depending on your much room u have there.

Yes, putting tape around the loop makes it thicker. So when it goes into the latch, it's a snug fit. I picked this trick up from a few other members.

If your hood latch is loose, heres a novel idea, Buy a new fooking latch!

They are only like 30 bucks and im thinkin it may cost more to repair your car when your crappy latch gives out at 80 mph and your hood wraps wround your roof.

I repair many wrceked hondas and always replace the latch if there is any play.

If your hood is sitting too high then your car was probably wrecked and the radiator support itself needs to be lowered some. If you take loose the radiator and the stuff supporting it, you would be surprised how thin the metal holding that support is and how easy it is to push down an inch or so.
