...So I was wondering what kind of price someone would pay these days for '96 civic cx (parker johnstone edition #50 of 140-not that it really means much) with a b16 a1 swap with injen cold air intake and carbon fibre hood. There was also an exedy stage 2 clutch in there. Limmo tint in the rears, 17" summers, brand new winter tires. There was also a muffler on it, so it was nice and loud too, probably could have fooled some high school kid into paying a million bucks for it.

I just want to find out how much money you guys think the car might be worth in Calgary area cause I know they are going to low ball me and try give me next to nothing for it.

All I know is it's a Parker Johnstone. It has a racing flag decal on the passenger side...there should be on the driver side too but I had that side re-done and the body shop didn't worry about it. I'm the 4th owner of this car I think and the previous guy had no clue. I tried doing some internet research and didn't find out anything about my car.

hmm, that's a tricky one...engine has roughly 150k, maybe 170k at most and the body has roughly 220-250k. Engine was installed a year a half ago, bought and and installed by speedtech racing with all the necessary new hoses and gaskets and timing belts and all the other stuff. It was a complete swap. Half of the body was re-done as well, had a hit and run in a parking lot so insurance paid 1900 to fix my door and repaint one of the sides. There was rust spots on the fenders. Is there anything else you need?

yes ... $2,000.00.

let's review:

- 150,000-170,000km on the motor (+/- 20,000km range)
- 220,000-250,000km on the body (+/- 30,000km range)
- only half of the body was re-done
- hit and run occurred with the vehicle

it sounds like a really clapped-out 13 year old civic to me.
as soon as most people hear "engine swap" they run for the hills ... therefore limiting possible folks to buy the vehicle. unfortunately the only way he's getting more than 2g's is from a high school kid (as he said in the original post).

the body was in good condition, carbon fibre hood, b series swap and a few other things. if he were selling it on beyond it would probably go for 5 or 6 k
