While it totally has that pimping to the right feeling because of the fence, if you look at the trees, you can see it's just an optical illusion.

Yeah, it's true to reality as far as being vertical but to the right there actually is a semi-steep hill that runs down to a lake.

I just really liked how the fence disappears in the fog. And that fog was THICK. Half a mile in either direction it was so thick you couldn't see more than 10 feet. I stopped and shot here because it was a little thinner. I had hoped to keep going up the mountain and get above the clouds and get some kick ass shots from there, but that shit just kept going. This is at Peaks of Otter on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Not far away is Mountain Lake, where Dirty Dancing was filmed.

Nobody puts Baby in a corner!

They have like 30-40 little penguins and I guess they use them to tell them apart. All have a different color combination.

Well I was getting ready to take a picture of the penguin chilling and I got photo bombed by the rock hopper trying to fly - lol!



Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to react fast enough to adjust settings but the shot none the less is funny still.

LOL - you know how many pics I have of 'about to jump' or of 'rocks with no penguin present' because they jumped while I blinked or something... LOL! The problem with my Zoo's penguin indoor display is it's so freaking dark.

Great pic btw - a little on the 'black' side of things for my taste but the shot is still wonderful.
