Maxima is for sale, been a great car for us, but just a bit boring for me. FWD is the main reason.

So I'm picking this up tonight:

In a sea of grey, 07 G35x premiums, I found an 08 G35X with the sport package for about the same price and in way better condition (near mint). I was not a fan of the red until I saw it, looks pretty good with some nice tones. I'm sick of owning silver cars as well. Although. I'd prefer a more subdued color, this is only the second G35X Sport in the province I've seen for sale and the first one the guy never posted a picture or replied to my add/calls.

For those in the US, the sport was only avaible in RWD in 2007, but AWD for 08.

You really think awd is less boring than fwd? I love it in the winter, but otherwise it's pretty uneventful (in a good way I guess.)

Yes. Power on plow, one wheel peel and off the line traction are the big weaknesses (some of which come with the type of car you buy as well). The G35 is also a bit smaller, more sporting and more powerful. It's also 100% rear based AWD system.

No. The AWD's only come in auto - but it has the flappy paddles (aluminum/leather).

I'm pretty damn impressed with this car already. The little things/details are just done right. And the old guy who sold it to me gave me an ipod cable. I didn't think it had ipod control - but it does.

Let me know how you like the paddles...I was thinking of getting/installing them in my brothers car eventually.

You are correct sir.

The paddles are about a million time more responsive than the ones in my RDX and those are supposed to be decent. It's also much better that they are fixed. But using the stick is a pretty natural motion as well.

Yeah, they are one of the best all around cars out there IMO. I'd love a 335 or something, but they cost a lot more. This is quick, decent on gas, fun to drive, has all the amenities, isn't overly large, has 2 years of warranty, AWD, etc.

Here's a couple pics:

What does the 'Sport' add to the equation?

I'm not 100% sure since it differs from the US and the 09 model is also different from 08, but 18" wheels, paddle shifters, different facia/rocker panels, aluminum pedals. I believe there is a sport suspension, but I'm not 100% sure.

Is the color growing on you yet? My car is silver, but after seeing a red one recently I'm not so sure I made the right choice..

It has it's moments and in some light, it has some decent depth to darkness to it. In others, it looks fire engine red. The chrome trim and grill are much better suited to red than black or dark grey IMO.

I'd prefer Blue Onyx (dark grey-blue). I also prefer the black dash with stone seats over the black seats. Nice contrast makes interior look bigger and more luxurious IMO.

Very nice looking car, congrats.

I saw a first gen G35 Coupe today, a couple of kids were driving the shit out of it. It really sounded HOT.
