I am glad that Thanh is getting something out of this. I honestly do not understand where al the hostility came from. Ironically enough, I have never EVER had a problem with the now anonymous user. But the hostility just was unbearable, ad honestly I could not take him insulting all of you fine people anymore either. I realize that everyone has there moments at times where we just punch the one way ticket on the asshat express, but this as just uncalled for.

I am sure that I will get stabbed in the eye with a hot poker for saying this (or at least get the e-stab over AIM), but seriously, drop the cash over to Thanh. He is at $1401 of $5000 to be raised, so he needs every penny and my mother died of heart complications in 2001 (and Melissa almost did as well back in 2003). He is a good man and it is a MUCH better cause than me.

Well... last week on the way to Florida, I got a $150 ticket in PA on I-81 in that stretch of highway where it goes down to 55mph from being 65mph everywhere else. I'm protesting it but I still have to pay for it now. *sigh* Hopefully, my bank account bounces back at the end of this week. But I'll let you know what I can do soon.

It was a speed trap and they got me going 72mph. The road was so busy with trucks, that I never saw the lower speed limit sign. What really gets me is that the fine itself is only $59.00... and the balance is four other incidental charges. Then add in $6 for requesting a hearing.

yep that is PA for you ... I got a ticket for disobeyence of a traffic device the fine was $7.50, the tota for the ticket was $99.45

As far as people worried about being scammed by things like this (not specifically this attempt at kindness, just in general), I look at it this way. I've been very fortunate to be blessed with a beautiful, healthy daughter, a wonderful wife, a good job, and to live in America, as opposed to some third world war zone. When I see things like this, I try to give the benefit of the doubt and toss a few bucks in, not only because it makes me feel good, but because I sure hope that, if I ever need help, or just a little pat on the back and a kind word and deed, that someone will do for me. If I get ripped off for $10 or $20 or $50, that sucks, but I'll get over it.

Well we got some updates from Melissa's doctors but most of it is inconclusive, we are still waiting on her Rheumatologist to call us with some actuals.

Well I remember back when the NNRC spam thread came about and CSi was supposed to attend their show.
It was a few years ago, but I do recall you opening your house up for a meet and to caravan to that show. Like usual that thread was taken down due to the derogative comments.
I've distant myself away from CSi over the years, but I still recall all your posts being more positive than others.
I sent ya some $$, wasn't much...but collectively it's the thought that counts in the end.
Hope everything turns out for the best with your wife.
If it's a joke, then so be it. Too many posts to follow, and I'm not in the mood to read the ignorant posts in between.

Ah, distance yourself all you want, we always come back. I always do try to maintain a positive outlook, everyone else here has the bad attitudes for me . And I thought this was a joke at first as well, but evidentally they are dead to rights serious, and thank you for your kind words.
