Need a new chair. My current one is old, was cheap, and basically sucks.
Budget: $500ish
Want: To feel like I'm getting a deal. I don't mind buying used from a surplus-type place.
Suggestions? What do you have, where did you get it, do you know a guy whose buddy lives in Hamilton and can hookup some stuff from a steel mill executive?
I've got a discount with Haworth and Brigholme through work, which I may take advantage of if nothing else comes about.
Tried the two they had at my local Costco last night. They're nice ($100 and $150), but only have height adjustments. I want something much more adjustable.
Dang, thats quite the budget for a chair. Do you spend a lot of time in this chair, ie do you work from home a lot?
I have one that I bought from Costco years ago, and yes it only has height adjustment. Its not the greatest chair but is comfortable and does the job for me.
I need to get a new one with adjustable arm rests. The one I have has stationary arm rests which are a bit too high and I find now I'm getting shoulder/neck pains from sitting in a "shrugged position" for too long.
lots of chair for you in hamilton. you just gotta know where to look.
Seriously though - look for Humanscale Ergonomic chairs, I managed to score the freedom model off of kijiji for under 600 bucks and it retails for 1,400 + HST.

This or ergocentric. They are priced similarly, not sure if they pop up used too often though. I have an ergocentric one I bought in 2007 and still going strong 10 years later.
